GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE SUMMER SEMESTER 2024

• Teaching in summer semester 2024: 
  Currently, courses will not be affected by corona-related regulations or restrictions. In the summer semester 2024, courses will therefore generally take place in presence, i.e. on campus.
• In consequence, it is obligatory to attend the lectures in person on site at the FIT Campus.
• FIT looks forward to welcoming all students to campus and classes no later than the start of classes (April 3rd, 2024).
• Current information regarding courses and exams in the current semester will be announced on the FIT homepage, in office 365 and via emails to the student addresses (FIT account). Information and instructions regarding the repetition of examinations will be given to the students concerned by email in due course.
• Students are responsible for keeping up to date on changes and new developments via FIT Homepage, Office 365, and emails on their FIT account.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE BA STUDY PROGRAMMES

The concept of FIT was, that the offered study programmes are open to national and international prospective students of all denominations and cultural backgrounds.

The following study programmes are offered, but unfortunately are beeing phased out:

B.A. Intercultural Theology, Migration and Global Cooperation (ITMGC)

PLEASE NOTE: This degree program is being phased out. 

The objective of the degree course ITMGC is to impart sound academic knowledge about the diverse and varying models of Christianity and other religious traditions worldwide. Students learn to analyse the current challenges confronting religious communities in the wake of globalisation and migration, e.g. the interaction of different cultures and religious traditions. They develop their intercultural communication skills as well as their theological and interfaith leadership and organization skills.

B.A. Intercultural Theology and Global Diaconia (ITGD)

PLEASE NOTE: This degree program is being phased out. 

The objetive of the degree course ITGD is to impart sound academic knowledge in theology, ethics, diaconia and mission studies. Students acquire qualifications in diaconial and social work, social management, development cooperation as well as organizational, communication and leaderhip skills. The degree course qualifies students for work in intercultural and international social-diaconial, development-oriented and church-related institutions.

B.A. Intercultural Theology, Migration and Congregational Leadership

This study program was discontinued in the summer semester of 2019 and  has been replaced by the degree program Intercultural Theology and Global Cooperation (ITDG, see above). 

B.A. Mission Studies and International Diaconia

This study program was discontinued in the summer semester of 2019 and  has been replaced by the degree program Intercultural Theology and Global Diaconia (ITDG, see above).
