Students with disabilities

The University of Applied Sciences for Intercultural Theology Hermannsburg is committed to making reasonable adjustments to reduce barriers to study and to creating an accessible environment for students with disabilities.

Level access to the campus, the lecture rooms, the ground floors of the student residencies, the library, the administrative offices as well as the chapel and the canteen is assured. Wheelchair-accessible accommodation with barrier-free sanitary facilities is available.

In the Examination Regulations § 4 (4) for the bachelor degree courses, the academic-related disability support regulations for alternative examination regulations for students with disabilities and/or students, who are chronically ill, are laid down. Each student case is viewed individually and may include provisions for alternative examination arrangements, while maintaining the same examination standard and content for all students.

Students wishing to apply for academic-related disability support should contact our Disability Adviser Prof Dr Drea Fröchtling, as soon as possible for advice on available additional support and the application procedure.
